Burma'S 9 Priority Industries Must Submit Environmental Management Plans Within The Deadline.

The Burma Investment Commission (MIC) issued a news bulletin on February 4, 2020 to remind investors of the following notices:

(1) Ministry of Natural Resources and Enviro, Burma Ministry of natural resources and environmental protection Nmental Conservation) issued Notice No. 3/2018 in January 10, 2018 on the basis of environmental protection regulations (Notification No.03/2018 ) for the 9 priority industries, the existing plant must submit the environmental management plan within the specified time limit (Enviro). Nmental Management Plan, EMP).

(two) in July 29, 2019, the Ministry of natural resources and environmental protection issued the 116/2019 circular (Notification No. (116/2019)), which should be submitted to the EMP within 6 months after the announcement, and stipulates that the factories that submitted EMP within the specified period will be punished by the thirty-second articles of the environmental protection act or the existing laws.

(3) the Burma Investment Committee (MIC) therefore notified all 9 priority industries that have been granted or approved by MIC to complete the 116/2019 notice and submit EMP to the Ministry of natural resources and environmental protection.

The time required for the 9 priority industries to submit EMP is as follows:

(3) foundry (Foundry)

(4) nonferrous metal melting, blacksmith shop and gold and silver yarn industry (Non-ferrous me) Tal melting, smithy and filigree)
