In the textile trade, the initiative to set up green trade barriers is fully grasped in the hands of a few developed countries. The vast majority of developing countries, including China, lag far behind the developed countries in science and technology. In competition, they must follow the trade order formulated by developed countries, which has greatly hindered the development of China's textile and garment industry and seriously affected the export of Chinese textiles.

Through understanding the causes of green barriers correctly, this paper analyzes the impact of green trade barriers on textile exports, and finally takes green marketing as a way of thinking to enhance competitiveness of enterprises and break through the green trade barriers, so as to truly realize China's pformation from a trading power to a trading power.

China has been known as the "Kingdom of clothes" since ancient times.

textile industry

It has always been a traditional industry in China.

In the past twenty years, the proportion of China's textile exports to the global textile exports has increased year by year, and now it has reached 1/4.

During the period from 2001 to 2008, the amount of China's textile exports increased from 53 billion 400 million US dollars to 1 523.6 billion US dollars, the growth rate reached 179%, and the proportion of China's textile exports accounted for 15.7% of the world's total from 25.6% to 25.6%.

It is the main industry of China's net foreign exchange earnings. According to statistics, in 2009, China's textiles reached an import and export volume of 1 902.58 billion dollars, accounting for 8.9% of the total trade volume of the country, with a trade surplus of up to 1 259 billion dollars, representing 60% of the total trade surplus of China's goods.

There is no doubt that textiles import and export trade.

Huge surplus

It has become an important source of China's foreign exchange earnings and capital accumulation (as shown in Table 2 below):

On the other hand, we should also see that China's textile exports account for the national commodities in recent years.

Export volume

The proportion is decreasing year by year (shown in Table 3 below), from 25.69% of the highest point of 1995 to 15.3% of 2009, or even from 2005 to 15.1%.

Although the proportion has been reduced, textiles are still China's main export commodities.

The proportion of general trade continued to increase in terms of trade mode. In 2007, the general trade mode of textiles and clothing exported 81 billion 913 million US dollars, up 24.28% over the same period last year, and exports of processing trade increased by US $19 billion 959 million, up 12.68% compared with the same period last year. The processing trade mode of exports was US $10 billion 709 million, an increase of 1.31% over the same period last year.

Among them, the general trade mode of textiles exports 31 billion 844 million US dollars, up 23.99% over the same period last year, and exports of processed materials trade increased by US $9 billion 649 million, an increase of 15.26% compared with the same period last year. The export of processing trade reached US $1 billion 240 million, an increase of 5.67% over the same period last year.

The general trade pattern of clothing exports 50 billion 69 million US dollars, up 24.46% over the same period last year, and exports of processed materials trade increased by US $10 billion 309 million, up 10.37% compared with the same period last year, and the export of processing trade reached US $9 billion 470 million, up 0.77% over the same period last year.
