Ten Initiatives Of Chengdu Footwear Industry Want To Embrace Breakout

Reporters learned from Wuhou District, Chengdu today that the promotion plan of "Chinese women's shoes famous chain store" has been officially launched by the government and Chengdu shoe companies.

It is understood that this is only one of the ten measures for Chengdu shoe industry to jointly cope with the financial crisis and promote economic development.

In mid March this year, the footwear industry in Chengdu will also appear in the international market with the overall image of "women's shoes capital of China" and will go to Russia to attend the Moscow shoe exhibition.

Since last year, under the influence of the global financial turmoil, the footwear industry in Chengdu is facing an unprecedented survival crisis.

Peng Jun, director of the industrial operation center of China's women's shoes capital, told reporters that Chengdu footwear enterprises generally experienced a sharp decline in operating performance in the fourth quarter of last year. The production volume shrank greatly, the production capacity generally decreased by 30% to 70%, and overseas orders also declined sharply. The whole Chengdu shoe enterprises faced unprecedented survival crisis.

In the face of severe situation, how to help shoes enterprises overcome difficulties and upgrade the footwear industry has become one of the priorities of Wuhou District government in Chengdu.

Since last December, the region has implemented four policies, including industrial upgrading, market development, financing services and supporting services, so as to promote investment in Chengdu footwear industry and effectively help Chengdu shoe industry, which accounts for 95% of Sichuan's exports, to cope with the severe financial crisis.

It is learnt that the ten major initiatives include three aspects: five major projects such as "famous chain store", "Chengdu women's shoes national line", "citizens entering shoes, Chengdu shoes" and so on. To integrate the international market resources and organize the four major activities such as the fourth international procurement festival of women's shoes capital in China, Chengdu footwear industry association is set up as soon as possible to deal with the financial crisis with collective wisdom.

Russia has always been the core market of Chengdu footwear industry.

At the same time, the Moscow International Footwear Exhibition is also one of the world's most famous professional footwear exhibitions.

As the largest footwear exhibition in Eastern Europe, it attracts more than 700 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions.

This time, the government will take up the stage and organize the shoe enterprises to take the initiative to provide the latest trade information and trade opportunities for China's footwear dealers in Russia.

It is understood that Wuhou District will invest more than 100 yuan to organize more than 20 brands of women's shoes in China to participate in the exhibition.

It leads us to enter the market and enhance our confidence in speeding up development. We are full of hope for the future development of Chengdu's footwear industry," he said.
